Check-out time is no later than 11:00 a.m on Sunday, October 29th.  Plan for a visit to Hocking Hills State Park. Feel free to leave the key in the home; it is not necessary to stop at the office to check out. We cannot accommodate late check-out times.

SHOP BEFORE YOU GET HERE: the closest full-service grocery store and gas station is 20 minutes away in Logan (Exit 180 –Chieftain Drive Kroger’s or Exit 664 Wal-Mart). You may want to do your shopping and get gasoline before you arrive!   We will be organized into 7 TEAMS for vegetarian meal preparation prior to the retreat.  We will have an “easy” breakfast of granola and such.  Pamela will bring all breakfast items and necessities.  Meals needing to be prepared are (TEAM 1) Thursday dinner, (TEAM 2) Friday lunch, (TEAM 3) Friday dinner, and (TEAM 4) brunch on Saturday, (TEAM 5) dinner on Saturday.  We will also have a (TEAM 6) fireside snack of Smores, other snacks, bottled water, tea, coffee (TEAM 7…PAMELA) Breakfast items, Basic condiments, napkins, paper towels, food storage containers, foil, plastic wrap, laundry detergent, matches, newspaper to start fire, and TOILET paper.  Guests may bring their own adult beverages.  This is a smoke free retreat.

If you have plans for a campfire please let us know in advance by simply replying to this email or by phone at 800-836-9279. Our wood is available for sale for $6.00 per bundle (6-8 pieces). We cannot deliver wood after your arrival.  We will have a campfire so bring any fun stories to share, guitars, or special skills.

OUTDOOR MUSIC
If you have plans for outdoor music during your stay we permit an iPod docking station with built-in speakers or a small portable boom box. Anything larger, with the intent of producing higher volume, is not permitted.

CABINS & POND
Lodge guests DO NOT have access to the 2 cabins or pond area unless you have all 3 properties rented on your requested dates. Please respect the privacy of cabin guests and keep outdoor noise levels to a minimum.

POOL HEATING  (The Pool will be Heated for our stay so bring your suits.  Suits are not optional)
If you would like the swimming pool heated during your stay there is an additional charge. From Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend the current charge is $80/night for each night of your stay. When heated, the pool will be at 82 degrees. You must notify us at least 48 hours in advance of your arrival if you want the pool heated. After Labor Day, charges to heat the pool will be based on actual gas used. The gas to heat the pool is metered which allows us to accurately determine usage. Heating will begin at11 am on the day of your arrival – this is when we will begin to meter your gas and then a final reading will be taken on the day of your departure close to the time of your check out. Our current charge for propane is $2.70/gal.

After Labor Day we make no guarantee that the pool will beat temperature when you arrive or that we will be able to maintain that temperature during your stay. Please understand that there are just too many variables – outdoor temperatures, use of the solar blanket when the pool in not in use, etc. Our plan is to keep the pool open and available to heat through October – weather permitting. We appreciate your understanding of the dynamics involved in order to make this amenity available.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS:

*CAUTION: The driveway to the lodge is a graveled lane. During the winter months we highly recommend 4WD vehicles. Low clearance vehicles may have issues.

Directions from Cincinnati: Take I 71 North to I 70, proceed towards Columbus. Take I 70 East to US 33 East (Southeast), the Lancaster Exit. (Note: Take the Lancaster bypass to Logan, not the US 33 Lancaster Business Route). Proceed on US 33 East to the Logan SR 93 exit Turn LEFT when getting off the 93 Exit). Drive South on SR 93, you will travel approximately 8.5 miles on 93 South. Turn slight left onto Clay Lick Rd/County Hwy 29, you will travel approximately 2.1 miles until you reach Goat Run Honey Fork Rd. on the left.* Clay Lick Rd. is 0.4 miles past Zeigler Rd., if you reach Cane Rd. you have gone about 0.6 miles to far. Our entrance is on the Right and the address is 21174 Goat Run Honey Fork Road, Logan, OH 43138. We highly recommend that you DO NOT use MapQuest/Google for your driving directions. If you and other party members will be traveling in separate cars, we strongly recommend that you arrange to meet in Logan and continue the trip along SR 93 South together. Illuminate Your Soul - Journey to India and Nepal

Illuminate Your Soul - Journey to India and Nepal

September 28 – October 10, 2017 / India & Nepal

Melodic, mesmerizing chanting. The smell of incense burning.Cultures infused with spirituality, connection to the heart, rituals and celebrations, rich history, towering Himalayan mountain peaks and delicious Indian and Nepali food. There will be so many opportunities to stand in awe in this magical land.

Imagine waking up for a yoga and meditation class with the Himalayas as the backdrop. Allow the peaceful energy of the most spectacular mountain range in the world permeate your being and bring you closer to your perfect inner nature.

Embrace the calm and the chaos. Camels, cows, rickshaws and cars share the streets. Wander through the colorful, chaotic bazaars of Jaipur, explore Bapu Bazaar to see the bright fabrics. Then stand on the wall of a massive fort as you view the amber city below. Take a camel cart ride through a village. (Yes, a camel cart ride!) Celebrate Indian-style, the festival of Dussehra. Music, dancing, fireworks and other crazy festivities highlight the evening.

Walk a kora (ritual circumnavigation) beneath the eyes of wisdom of the Buddha at Boudhnath, side by side with other Buddhists making this same pilgrimage. Visit two of the holiest temples in the world,Pashupatinath to Hindus and Boudhnath to Buddhists. Prayer flag-decked lanes, butter lamps, monks in maroon robes: experience Tibetan Buddhist life.
