Wiping my reading glasses on my shirt.  Giving up.  Getting another pair of glasses and again, dirty.  Where is the glass cleaner because I want to see what is truly there?  What is truly there?

It actually depends on how clean your glasses are.  The great gurus (teacher or bringer of light to the darkness) teach there is an ultimate truth and reality.  The great gurus teach there is the Divine or God (if I’m allowed to use that name without religiously triggering you).  You have and can see God, but only when and if your glasses are clean.

It’s not conceptually hard to clean your glasses.  The daily chores, however, can be a bit much.  Cleaning your glasses means embracing what the great gurus named “Sattvic” energy or practices.

There are three energies arising at any given time within you and they color the way you see the world.  Sattvic energy is pure and light and create happiness and joy.  Rajistic energy is heated and creates change as well as anger and frustration.  Tamasic energy is dark and dense and creates dullness and lethargy.

I think of it as follows:

  • Sattiv = white
  • Rajistic = red
  • Tamasic = black

If you can understand what I’m writing here…if you can apply this Universal principle and secret of the “gunas…sattvic, rajistic, tamasic” to your life, I promise you will see ultimate reality or truth or God.  Do the following and you are guaranteed success:

  • Embrace a vegetarian lifestyle.
  • Embrace a daily routine including going to bed around 10 ish and getting up around 7ish and eating 3 meals each day around the same time each day.
  • Meditate devotionally daily for at least 10 minutes.
  • Given any emotion arising, sit with it and watch it.  If the emotion is joyful, compassionate, empathic, and loving then go with it and respond from you heart center.  Otherwise watch it and let it go.
  • Minimize the clutter in your home and treat your home like a sacred space.
  • Go outside every day and enjoy nature.
  • Given any choice, always choose the most nourishing or sattvic choice.  So, even when listening to music, watching TV, or playing on your computer, find the beautiful and peaceful experiences.

The following are obstacles to you seeing truth and create heat or darkness in your body and mind:

  • Staying up late and sleeping in.
  • Not controlling your thoughts.
  • Social media and taking in dull and dark images and information.
  • Caffeine, sugar, meat, alcohol and processed foods.
  • Overindulging in food.
  • Overstimulation of the senses including talking excessively and not listening, emotional chaos and tasking.
  • Surrounding yourself with dull and dark people.

Come in to the studio.  I’ll show you how to meditate and embrace a sattvic lifestyle.  Peace, Pamela
